SC Farm Report on Wednesday

   Cattle at SC auctions on Tuesday:  Compared to last week, feeder 
cattle were mostly steady. Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 
lbs 124.00-130.00, 500-600 lbs 119.00-132.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and 
Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 117.00-130.00; 500-600 lbs 112.00-120.00.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 112.00-117.00; 500-600 lbs 
109.00-113.00. Slaughter cows were steady to 2.00 higher.  Slaughter 
cows: Breakers 75-80% lean 50.00-57.00; Boners 80-85% lean 47.00-65.00; 
Lean 85-90% lean 47.00-54.00; Lean Low Dressing 32.00-45.00. Slaughter 
bulls were steady to 2.00 higher.  Slaughter bulls: 1350-2115 lbs 65.00-
82.00.
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 1080 lbs Young to Middle 
Age Cow with calf under 300 lbs 950.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 815-855 lbs 
Young to Middle Age Cows with calves over 300 lbs 750.00-775.00 per pair.  
Small 1-2 940 lbs Young to Middle Age Cow with calf under 300 lbs 675.00 
per pair.
   Hogs on Tuesday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 240-300 lbs was 0.66 higher at 39.99. 
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 25.17; 450-500 lbs 28.48; 500-550 lbs 30.29.
   SC Grain on Wednesday:  Corn was steady to 2 cents lower; elevator 
bids 4.34-4.45, processor bids 4.49-4.94.  Soybeans were 3 to 5 cents 
higher; elevator bids 8.63-8.89, processor bid 9.24, and export 9.34. 
Wheat bids were steady to 2 cents lower; elevator bids 4.99-5.10.  
   Cotton on Wednesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.77 
higher at 62.59.  
   Fruits & Vegetables: Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
